Mid-Mod

Mid-Mod is Major Swag. The summer of 2023 provided my family the opportunity to cruise with Carnival aboard the mother ship "Mardi Gras." Onboard, our dining hall was set in a mid-mod tone, the flare and the drip catered to all the aesthetics and eye pleasantries. The food flavored from the galley and the drinks drained from the bar were served with the utmost hospitality. We cruised into the Caribbean with style and class and the drink package offered a bottomless glass. The chairs in the dining area had the feel of the mid-mod glam as well as the lighting and the colors. Well done! The Mardi Gras dining room reminded me of Bud & Marilyn's of Philadelphia, PA fame. I was teleported a few decades prior to indulge with my family and enjoy good food and ambience. Bud & Marilyn's is a decadent restaurant so appealing to the eye and so appeasing to the appetite. It's mid-mod vibe is incomparable. Mardi Gras and Bud & Marilyn's equally serve up heaping helpings of the food that Grandma would put her foot into. Leading to Grandmas worldwide saying, "Eat some more, if you leave hungry it's your own fault." The "pile it on" philosophy is alive and well on land and at sea!
