Beer Boards

My clipboard is a wood board, boards I did not split but they make a perfect fit in my fire pit. I'm half country, half city, sitting at my cul de sac fire pit getting litty. My little plot is a perfect spot, I can troll the woods all day but my heart is buried in the 8th Ward. It's kinda a big deal to me, it sets my mind free, part country, part city. My ancestors looking down gets me giddy. As I sip the cheap beers and write the checks, I offer all due respects. To those who made it, to those who are on their grind, nose to the dirt it's yours in due times. Like hands of the clock that rotate and tick tock, board that boat before it leaves the dock.
