I can tell when my ox yoke is on full pull, up in the wooded lots. My hankering to eat, my call for appetite hits rock hard. Like today, full throttle on the Willis River Promenade along Route 15. I was hit with the need for waffles w/ lots of syrup. That's what was calling me from the pantry. But, far from home, with naught but a tuna packet in my pocket book and a palm filled w/ pistachios, I pined on in the thickets. I am resourceful w/ my water, my nutrients and my energy. Posted along the Willis River, noticing the interplay of the Piedmont of the VA in my transplant DNA from the PA. Like the waters of the Willis, adapt and flow.
