This holiday season, I ramped up the opportunity to consider my house ski lodge-esque. I never lit the chiminea because the temps were ridiculous. But , we got lit inside the house. Late night card games, cookies and beer, hitting the hay next to my ceramic fireplace heater from Walmart and my beautiful wifey. These cold days made for some hot nights. The parties, the decadence, the atmosphere of winter wonderlands. The birds at the bird feeders were my companions as I sipped my morning Joe.
So, I spot my guys, my dudes, my aces, outside in the snow embankment. Their vigilance over the ski lodge is impressive. In the arctic temps, when things get dicey, they remain steadfast in their watch. Monitoring everything from the trash truck to brushing the snow from the driveway and making way for more guests and more parties. My ski patrol, my buddies. Lucky 7’s tonite my friend.
