Talking Stick

I can barely recount the amount of rounds my friend has dispensed on me over the years. Shots fired to challenge and motivate. Moments in my life, he has popped up and been ready to pop off, to sharpen my caliber. Always ready to take aim at my actions and inactions. Out of love. His legacy will be defined by the time he invests in his comrades, ready to give them that smoke, fire shots to keep them focused, dodging and ducking until the vision is clearer. Round after round, relentlessly and tactically making me think of strategies for success. Relentless firepower down range, toward the future and toward goals, toward better versions of ourselves. Success is always the target, locked in the crosshairs. Because, challenges will never hide under a rock, up a pole or in the gutter. They will always be front and center. Let the stick talk in the forms of positivity and perseverance. Then, challenges will face down the barrel of our best shots.
