Summer Cabin 2021

Location Log: Cammal, PA State Game Lands 25 NNW of Huntley Mountains East of Pine Creek Lycoming County, PA PA, USA Tiadaghton State Forest

We are on a cabin adventure, all laid out in black and white, the Genesee beers are on full flow. The DJ is on the wheels of steel. I call him: "DJ Smoke." Grillin' corn and flexing on Okome Road. The Bears are patrolling the woodline, looking for scraps from our feast. We aren't feeding them or poking them. I'm too concerned with all the sports equipment stored in the garage. I'm too concerned with the beer in the fridge, I'm too concerned with quality time with my Main Little Dude: "Taki." I call him: "The Country Boy." I'd walk a country mile, twice, backwards for Pap Pap's dude. I'd give him the last hot dog, I'd even cook it for him, to perfection, over the open flame of a piney logged laced fire pit.

Deep woods edge, fade away 3's, can't get the ball from my hands, put me on a pedestal with these handles. Bears crossing my path, I bearly see them. The fire pit's embers and the hypnotics of the basketball give me the gift of avoiding bear claws.
