Preble Hill

I love the place where the Queen Anne's Lace and the Goldenrod interface. Whether in a vase or all over the berms and embankments of highway and country roads. They are inseparable Kings and Queens. None finer than the intermingling on top of Preble Hill Rd., Cortland County, NY. I love the view, I love my wife a.k.a. "Melinda the Dime." The plants, as people, become inseparable. They are consistently side by side and make each other stronger in the stormy winds that flow through the hills. On the flip, they share the sunshine after the storms, hand within hand. The two are together, looking down through the valley and the farmer's fields.
To me, the Lace and Goldenrod are vibrant near the end of the growing season. Right prior to the snow flying and the frost thickening. They dominate the hillsides and make a flurry of yellow and white flashes. The Hill is bountiful with the beauty of billions of the flowers, wanted to make me bend on one knee and propose to Melinda again. She makes this effortless.
