Lit Pit

It was a cold nite at the firepit a few weeks ago. I like this photo because I feel a 1930's or 40's vibe from the black and white and the smoky embers. A day is done out back by the woodpile, we're sittin and thinkin. With a big Decanter hidden under our wicker loveseat. A cold beer on a starry nite. A hot toddy, roasting through the veins. But, this is fast forward to 2020, we're thinkin on the highs and lows while the crackles and pops rock through the logs I bought from the farmer on Old Akron Rd. These times are meant for discussions and tolerance and drawing the circle tighter. Communicating against the back drop of the nite sky and glowing vibe. Like through all the decades, these times will pass and like the glow of the lit wood pit, float on into the future.
