Back in "Handles" Messiah's day, he dribbled his basketball through 10 feet of snow on both ends of the court, up hill, down hill and through the creeks behind Hamilton Elementary School. He carried a shovel in his back pack to scoop the snow from the paint. That's how champions are built, that's how perseverers persevere. That's when the Christmas lights are the brightest, when hope is the shiniest. That's when he takes the ball and shoots the lights out, that's when belief and faith light up the court. This is when a man becomes legend and a name is born unto all ages. He got that glow, he got handles. Mr. Messiah on his glow up.
