Landed along the backwoods of Otter Run, the hue of the photo reminiscent of 1942. Flashing back when the logs were floated, after felling, downstream to the mighty Little Pine Creek and then rafted on down the way to Williamsport a.k.a Bill-Po. The timber barons barking and bidding, breaking branches and seeing money when they saw. But now, Beers flow downstream, the hamloaf at the cabin is a cookin'. A bunch of dudes playing cards and not counting carbs. For a long weekend in Lycoming County (Pennsylvania). These particulars don't change over the generations. Backed up in the draws, the valleys, the hollows, life is the same as it ever was. A little R&R, a little time out from the fever fast pace of the race. Beers, bears and deers and turkeys flocking, like they always have.
