A new genre has emerged for these blog posts. When the mood strikes, I have an inclination for the Sycamore Tree and thoughts are periodically generated to fulfill my visions. I call them, "Sycamore Sites": A reflection on my notes taken in the field. The observance of Sycamores directly reflects the notion of movement and variation that every bend in a branch is capable of possessing. I call it: Uniquity. I enjoy the funky shapes designed by Sycamores marred in bird turds, outstretching their arms for hugs while the bugs crawl in and out.

Field Note: I call this dude the Bushong Road Blooper. The limbs are eager to take a dive into the mighty Conestoga River in Lancaster, PA. Best viewed on the bridge where Bushong Road becomes Quarry Road and Quarry Road becomes Bushong Road. The tree looks like a serpent, startled from a slumber and takes a dive for tranquility. A deep breath, a swimmers lean off the bank, it goes for broke to escape the flood plain. I imagine, this monstrosity of limbs, bark and branch making only a slight 'bloop' as it pops under the murky depths. The river might be low at this bridge pass so I envision the bad boy crawling along the river bottom like a spider with aqua lungs.
