I like to think this is a way throw back Larry Bird, bootleg, jersey. Something picked up at Two Guys or Nichols. Nonetheless, the opportunity to score points was right there in the tank top. However, the ball needed to be in my hands. I needed an assist. My family has always given me the opportunties to be myself, to be more than myself. They have perfectly assisted me during these years. I am a better person. They have handed me the ball even if my thoughts were sitting on the bench. To pick myself up, to wake up. Quietly, guidingly always in the backdrop and advocating for me. Today, I am the starting point guard on my own team. (Nan, Maternal Grandmother)
